Colour Connotation

Colour Connotation

'Sex' in red connotes physical energy and also passion. The read title makes the front cover very vibrant also making the front cover energetic and positive. The blue background makes the page tranquil and very mellow providing a calm atmosphere therefore there is a contrast between red and blue making the front cover balanced by colour. Also the blue dress makes the reader feel calm when looking at her as she is very innocent, this engages the reader in order to make them buy it.

The orange text instantly provides an enthusiastic feel towards the reader as orange is a very bright and vibrant colour therefore it makes the page happy and energetic. Also it makes the reader feel optimistic when reading the cover titles, this could make them want to read the story as they want to know what happens. The price tag is in yellow this connotes that it is urgent to read how much it is in order for the reader to buy it. Also a blue dress is on the model, this connotes that the reader would feel devoted and loving towards her as she is an aspiration.

The title Gloria is a very peaceful name and the green colour connotes that it is harmonious and therefore the magazine is not in your face but is very relaxing. Also the dress is in green as this connotes that the dress should be accepted therefore communicating with the reader that this is a accepted magazine. 'Sex' in yellow is connoting that is fun and also creativity. The 'Carefree days' connotes that it is showing how you can have personal power.

Really good piece of work with the right amount of detail and analysis. Well Done.
